About the organisation
The Catholic Diocese of Hamilton is a faith-based organisation in the heart of the Waikato region. The main hub is in Hamilton East, providing financial and administrative support to 33 schools, 9,000 students, and a multitude of parishes and social initiatives.
The team covers a large geographic area throughout the Waikato region and Midland region.
About the role
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join the team in Hamilton East. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing and managing all aspects of accounts receivable for ‘CathConnect’ - schools dues system – and developing processes to support its continued implementation.
Analysing and reporting on business performance, bringing recommendations for improvements.
Reviewing and uplifting financial and accounting systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Completing month end reporting.
Oversight and monitoring of workflows for a dedicated accounts team.
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with auditors, Diocesan Team Leaders, Principals, and school administration teams.
Providing financial support when required, including invoicing, debt collection, and financial assistance for families.
Skills and experience
As the Accounts Receivable Supervisor you will bring:
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Expertise in accounts receivable and the wider financial acumen to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, or variances in financial reporting.
Proficiency across a variety of software applications and systems – Power BI is desirable.
Strong attention to detail and the organisational skills to keep systems and processes clean and tidy.
A curiosity to explore efficiencies and an ability to adapt to the changing needs of the organisation.
The leadership capability to motivate, encourage, and inspire.
A desire to be part of a wider team, contributing to the supportive, family values-based culture.
