About the role:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will act as a key partner to the Team Leader, managing complex customer portfolios, driving operational excellence, and collaborating across teams to resolve critical issues, improve processes, and ensure healthy cash flow for the business.

What you will do:
Manage a portfolio of strategic and complex customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, healthy cash flow, and strong customer relationships.
Act as the key point of contact for critical customer cases and escalations, working closely with customers, Sales, Claims, Controlling, and Finance teams to drive resolution.
Lead the management of complex Accounts Receivable issues, including disputes, deductions, bad debt cases, and legal collection activities where applicable.
Support the Team Leader with coordination activities, reporting, and operational follow-up to ensure effective team performance and service delivery.
Analyze account performance, payment trends, and outstanding balances to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement actions.
Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience across AR processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, Service Level Agreements, and Essity policies while supporting audit-related activities.
Act as a trusted point of reference within the team, sharing expertise, supporting less experienced colleagues, and contributing to operational excellence across countries and markets.
Who you are:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Business Management or equivalent.
Several years of experience in Accounts Receivable, managing complex customer portfolios and large-volume accounts in an international environment.
Proficiency in SAP (R/3 and S/4), Electronic Banking Software tools, and Office 365.
Interest in emerging technologies, particularly AI, ideally comfortable using Microsoft Copilot.
Customer-centric and solution-oriented mindset, capable of handling critical customer situations, resolving escalations, and balancing business and customer needs.
Proven ability to prioritize effectively, manage pressure, and navigate multiple competing priorities while maintaining high-quality results.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience handling complex cases, supporting junior colleagues, and acting as a trusted point of reference within the team. Experience working with management-level stakeholders is considered an advantage.
Fluent in Italian and English - All Applicants are requested to deliver their CV in English language.
