Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the application of payments and posting of credit/debit memos. This position is also responsible for monitoring and analyzing the accounts receivable aging and related customer balances for effective resolution of the company’s outstanding accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Cash application and resolution of unapplied cash. Set up customer credit limits as directed by the Accounts Receivable Supervisor
  • Issue credit and debit memos
  • Monitor customer accounts receivable and aging balances
  • Contact customers for payment
  • Provide recommendations to Accounts Receivable Supervisor regarding accounts to be turned over to collections
  • Process warranty credits and Cirrus Bucks
  • Review and process customer refunds
  • Review customer deposits
  • Evaluate and make appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization
  • Reconcile customer statements
  • Additional duties as requested, directed or assigned

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business, preferred, but not required
  • 1 to 2 years' experience in accounting or related functions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles & knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, and multi-tasking skills
  • Understanding of the business, process, and procedures as it relates to both plane deliveries and Aftermarket Parts
  • Understanding of warranty policy and claims process
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office products, mainly Excel and Word
  • Strong ERP Skills; ability to expand working knowledge of ERP system
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively under deadlines
  • Participation in job-related continuing education opportunities
