Job Description

Join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting the financial success of our Homecare business. This is a people-focused accounts receivable role, where you'll manage outstanding accounts while building positive relationships with our clients and internal teams.

A key part of the role is making outbound calls to our home care clients to discuss outstanding accounts, clarify invoices and agree appropriate payment arrangements. You'll need to be confident having conversations about money, while communicating with empathy, patience and professionalism.

Reporting to the Transactional Services Team Leader, you will:

  • Manage outstanding accounts and proactively follow up overdue payments by phone and email
  • Have clear, respectful conversations with clients to explain accounts and negotiate appropriate payment arrangements.
  • Reconcile accounts, investigate billing discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve payment and billing queries.
  • Maintain accurate account records and escalate complex matters when required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce aged debt.

Let's talk about you

You'll have experience in credit control, accounts receivable, debt collection or a similar customer-focused role.

Most importantly, you'll be someone who:

  • Is a confident and clear communicator, particularly over the phone.
  • Can have sensitive conversations about money while remaining empathetic and respectful.
  • Can explain financial information in a way that is easy for clients to understand.
  • Is comfortable making regular outbound calls and following up when payment is overdue.
  • Is organised, detail-oriented and confident using financial systems and MS Office.
  • Can balance customer service with the need to achieve payment outcomes.

Experience in healthcare, homecare, community services or a similar sector would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
