About the Role

We are seeking a high-calibre Senior Accounts Receivable Officer / Credit Controller to join our Finance team based in Salisbury, Brisbane. Reporting directly to the CFO with reporting lines also the FC, you will take ownership of a defined customer portfolio and play a key role in driving cash flow, working capital outcomes, and debtor performance.

This position will suit an experienced AR specialist with strong collections, credit control, and stakeholder management capability, who is comfortable managing complex, high-value accounts and identifying process improvements.

This is a full-time position (38 hours per week), with flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Key Responsibilities

· Co- ownership of the accounts receivable ledger / debtor management function

· Proactive credit control and collections across a portfolio, including large and national accounts

· Manage aged receivables, debt recovery, and dispute resolution

· Reconcile remittances and ensure accurate cash allocation and banking processes

· Lead month-end AR reporting, reconciliations, and close activities

· Partner with Finance and Sales teams to reduce Debtor Days and improve payment cycles

· Monitor and report on AR KPIs, debtor ageing, and cash flow performance

· Identify and implement process improvements, controls, and system enhancements

· Work with various procurement portals (e.g. Ariba) and customer billing platforms

· Support broader finance activities including invoicing, payments, and financial administration

About You

· 3–5+ years’ experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or collections

· Strong experience managing high-volume debtor ledgers and complex accounts

· Proven ability in debt collection, credit risk management, and payment negotiation

· Experience with procurement portals (Ariba, Coupa, etc.) highly desirable

· Advanced working knowledge of Xero or similar accounting software

· Strong Excel skills (reconciliations, reporting, data analysis)

· Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and CreditorWatch advantageous

· Solid understanding of cash flow drivers and working capital management

· Ability to analyse debtor ageing and identify recovery strategies

· Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and customer management skills

· Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced finance environment
