Job Description

Based in our North Ryde Support Office and reporting to the Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team during an exciting period of growth and change.

This role will be part-time 4 days per week on a 12-month fixed term contract. As an integral member of the AR team, you will provide transactional and finance support on collection and management of rebates and accounts receivable within the organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Raising of sales invoices for rebates, marketing and VEPA entity
  • Maintaining accuracy and integrity of customer accounts
  • Management of the Rebates and Petbarn Customer account inboxes
  • Fortnightly commentary on overdue rebates
  • Opening of new customer accounts
  • Processing of receipts from bank statements
  • Chasing outstanding invoices and writing off non recoverable debts
  • Preparing customer statements
  • Processing of intercompany transactions
  • Preparation of process documents and policies as required
  • Support year end audit process
  • Any other adhoc tasks as required

Qualifications

About You

You are an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer who thrives in a complex, fast-paced environment. You are a collaborative team player with strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a genuine commitment to supporting the teams who support our customers. You will bring:

  • Minimum of 2 - 4+ years’ work experience in a similar role
  • Exposure to working in a large ERP (Microsoft Business Central advantageous)
  • Demonstrate the required skill to perform detailed work accurately & promptly
  • Experience in finance roles within complex multi-site / multi-channel retail or FMCG environments (preferable, but not essential)
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills and a team player who is collaborative in their approach
