Join Our Team as an Accounts Receivable Intern at Johnson Electric!

Location: Plymouth, Michigan

Pay Range: $17-$22 per hour

Duration: January to April 2027

Hours: Full Time

Relocation: Not Available. Local Candidates preferred

The AR Intern will support the AR Department processes and collections for Johnson Electric North America.

What You’ll Be Doing:

The statements below are not intented to be an exhaustive list of all responsiblities and activities required for this position. They describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the employee for this position.

• Investigate invoices not paid including following up with external and internal customers
• Tracking and reporting regarding samples
• Reconcile customer accounts
• Assist with assembling data to support various reporting to management including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Maintain documentation for compliance reporting and audits
• Assist with audit requests both internal and external
• Communication and work cross functionally with other groups including Sales, Quality, Customer Service, Engineering, and headquarters in Hong Kong.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or currently pursuing a degree with expected graduation within the next year.
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Microsoft Excel Proficiency - experience with bringing data together from different systems into excel spread sheets, and perform variance analysis. 
• Experience using Oracle and Salesforce software (preferred)
• Organizational skills
• Communication skills
