Position Summary
The AR Credit Representative supports all processes related to extending credit to customers for parts, service, and rental needs. This role is responsible for monitoring and collecting customer receivables to maximize sales opportunities while minimizing the debt risk. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships to support responsible credit extension and collections
- Evaluate customer credit applications and monitor account performance
- Manage and collect the assigned accounts receivable portfolio
- Use established performance metrics to measure and improve department results
- Provide guidance and support to branch personnel regarding credit accounts and policies
- Collaborate with multiple branch locations to ensure consistent credit practices
- Manage legal collection files and coordinate with attorneys as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in credit and collections required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education)
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced credit and collections environment preferred
- Industry experience in heavy truck, transportation, equipment, or related fields is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, meticulous, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Professional, courteous, and customer-focused mindset
