TheAccountingClerkisresponsibleforprocessing invoices, preparing monthly bank reconciliations, and supports the processing of expense reports and purchase card transactions.

ESSENTIALDUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparemonthlybank reconciliations.

  • Supportprocessingofexpensereportsandpurchasecardtransactions(reviewingexpensesand support to ensure compliance with company policy).

  • Contactnon-compliantemployeesandresolveanyissues.

  • Recordandprocessofficechecks.

  • Respondtofraudulentpurchasecardactivity.

  • Providesupportforoperationswhenrequestinginvoicesandbackupdetail.

  • Keyinopeninvoicesandscheduleforpayment.

  • Providetimelyresolutionofissueswhencalledbyvendor.Resolutionincludesinterfacingwith buyer and vendor until issue is resolved.

  • Comparecheckstoimagingsystemandaccountingsystemforaccuracy.

  • Thedutiesandresponsibilitiesareintendedtodescribethegeneralnatureandscopeofworkbeing performed by this position.This is not acomplete listing and other duties will beassigned basedon the position's role within the business unit.

EDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCE:

  • Highschooldiplomaorequivalent

  • AssociatedegreeinFinance,orrelateddisciplinepreferred

  • Minimum1yearofaccountingclerkexperience,preferablyinaconstructionenvironment

  • Canbeacombinationofeducation,training,andrelevant experience

COMPETENCIES:

  • Filing,and10-keyskillsrequired

  • Attentiontodetailisnecessary;stronganalyticalskills preferred

  • Applyandadaptquicklytonewinvoicingprocedures

  • Workcloselywith operationsandotherdepartmentsinfinanceas required

  • Buildandmaintainsolidworkrelationshipswithalllevelsofstaffandmanagement

  • Understandandfollowstandardoperatingpoliciesandprocedures

  • ProficientinusingacomputerandMicrosoftOffice(Outlook,Word,Excel,etc.);Oraclepreferred

  • Prioritizeandmanagemultipletasks,changingprioritiesasnecessary

  • Workunderpressureandadapttochangingrequirementswithapositiveattitude

  • Oralandwrittencommunicationskillsasrequiredforthe position

WORKINGCONDITIONS:

  • Generalworkenvironment-sittingforextended periods, standing,walking,typing,carrying,pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

  • Occasionalliftingofupto30lbs.

Pay Range

$25.55-$33.50 Hourly

The pay range for this role is what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Candidate’s pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
