Job Description
We are looking for a talented Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our team specializing in Finances for our Finance Department in Accra, Ghana.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways
- Deliver accurate and insightful analytical support to the Accounts Receivable team, enabling data-driven decision-making and improved financial performance.
- Produce clear, detailed financial analyses and reports (including variances and cost analysis) that highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Identify inefficiencies in current AR processes and proactively recommend practical improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and compliance.
- Resolve moderately complex accounts receivable and credit issues efficiently, reducing outstanding balances and strengthening cash flow.
- Strengthen relationships with external customers by addressing queries professionally and ensuring timely resolution of account concerns.
- Collaborate effectively with internal Finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency across processes.
- Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting by delivering reliable statistical and performance data.
- Support and successfully execute special projects, adding value through analytical insight, adaptability, and a solutions-focused approach.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, including payment processing, reconciliations, month-end close, and journal entries, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to analyse financial data and identify trends, variances, and root causes of issues (e.g., late payments), with the confidence to recommend practical improvements.
- Attention to detail and time management skills to meet strict weekly and monthly deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to respond to customer queries, collaborate with finance teams, and support stakeholders with varying financial knowledge.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles to ensure all transactions and reports are compliant, accurate, and audit-ready.
Education/ Experience
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field equivalent related work experience required.
- Minimal level of relevant work experience required.
