Due to continuous growth and expansion, Sunlight Group offers a great opportunity for professional development and is seeking to attract an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely management of accounts receivable operations, monitoring customer balances, and supporting credit control processes within an international environment. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Group policies and contributing to efficient financial reporting and cash flow management.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Maintain accurate customer accounts and balances in the ERP system, ensuring proper recording and reconciliation of invoices, credit notes, incoming payments, and adjustments.
  • Monitor customer outstanding balances, overdue invoices, and payment behavior in line with predefined credit terms and Group policies.
  • Execute and monitor dunning procedures in SAP, performing follow-ups on overdue receivables and escalating deviations where required.
  • Maintain and update customer master data, including payment terms and credit limits.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to receivables, provisions, and account reconciliations.
  • Support the administrative management of factoring programs and credit insurance processes.
  • Prepare standard accounts receivable reports and related performance metrics.
  • Contribute to internal controls and compliance checks in line with company policies.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective receivables management and alignment with credit control procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MSc considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with solid knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards and good understanding of IFRS (German GAAP will be considered an asset).
  • Proven hands-on experience with SAP (preferably SAP S/4HANA) – mandatory requirement
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken – mandatory requirement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management, able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator with strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and comfortable operating in an international environment; willingness to travel when required.
