
Whytematter Staffing Solutions are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join their growing team based in Bangor. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in accounts and payroll who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.
As an Accounts & Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for a range of duties across bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and accounts preparation.
Processing client bookkeeping records accurately and efficiently
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Assisting with the preparation of annual accounts for limited companies and sole traders
Processing weekly and monthly payroll, including resolving any payroll queries or errors
Ensuring weekly reports are completed and delivered in a timely manner
Supporting the wider team with additional finance-related tasks as required
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
A minimum of 1 year’s experience in accounts and payroll processing
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero and Dext
Experience using BrightPay payroll software would be advantageous
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Full-time, Monday to Friday (no weekends)
