JOB SUMMARY

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that payments are processed in a timely manner for Chickmont Foods Ltd. The Accounts Payable Clerk’s duties will include entering invoices, preparing payments, and reconciling the accounts payables sub-ledger to the supplier statements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, and coding payments to the correct general ledger account.
  • Enter accounts payable transactions accurately and timely.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly payment reports.
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to vendor statements and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all company procedures are executed and adhered to
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that accounts are reconciled.
  • Act as petty cash custodian for the administration department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • An Associate Degree in Business Studies or Accounts with at least two (2) years’ work

experience in accounts payable.

  • Have working experience in Microsoft Office , especially MS Excel and Word
  • Possess excellent organizational and time-management skills with a strong attention to

detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
