Job Description


Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payables and Receivables officer to manage and oversee our partner company’s financial transactions, focusing on both payables and receivables. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial policies while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and customers.


Key Responsibilities:


Accounts Payables (AP):


  • Process, verify, and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receipts.

  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.

  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain and update vendor records, including contact and payment information.

  • Assist in the preparation of payment forecasts and invoice payments.

  • Collaborate with procurement and other departments to address payment-related issues.


Accounts Receivables (AR):


  • Prepare and issue customer invoices in accordance with company policies.

  • Track, monitor, and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.

  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes.

  • Generate aging reports and provide updates on receivables status to management.

  • Deposit incoming payments and post them accurately in the accounting system.

    ork with sales and customer service teams to address payment-related inquiries.


Other Responsibilities:


  • Perform regular account reconciliations for payables and receivables.

  • Maintain detailed records of financial transactions and documentation.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.


Requirements


Qualifications:


  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; an associate degree with relevant experience will be considered.

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting roles.

  • Skills:

    • Strong proficiency in accounting software.

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Strong communication skills for vendor and customer interactions.

    • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
