The Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of the company's financial transactions related to supplier invoices, customer payments, reconciliations, and reporting. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting the organisation's cash flow, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

About You

We are looking for an accounts all-rounder, someone who is adaptable and flexible to perform in either a receivables or payments capacity as required. You will be working with spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel) and SAP (accounting system); therefore, computer literacy is required. Full training and ongoing support are on offer for the right person. This role has growth potential if that is what you are looking for.

Accounts Payable

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding, approvals, and adherence to company policies.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Maintain supplier records in SAP accounting system.

Accounts Receivables

  • Generate and issue customer invoices and credit notes in line with company policy.
  • Monitor accounts receivable ledger.
  • Apply customer receipts accurately against accounts.
  • Liaise with customers and internal departments to resolve billing or payment issues.

General Accounting Support

  • Provide general accounting support.
  • Work within a small team environment providing 'back-up' support where required during peak periods, or when colleagues are on leave.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting.
