About the role

As an Accounts Payable Team Lead, you’ll take ownership of a key function within our finance operations.
You’ll lead a team responsible for managing end-to-end AP processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. With responsibility for team coordination, mentoring, and process optimization, you’ll play a vital role in reducing financial risk and driving operational excellence. Your expertise will guide daily operations and contribute to broader financial strategies across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the most complex and high-risk accounts payable portfolios.

  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on AP strategies.

  • Design advanced payment processing models and methodologies.

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize cash flow.

  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to all levels of accounts payable associates.

  • Constant monitorization of performance of the team.

  • First level of contact and support of the team of account payable associates.

  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and internal policies.

  • Represent the organization in high-level negotiations and discussions.

  • Continuously drive process improvements and innovation in payment management.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and strategic insights to senior management.


Skills:

  • Expert Analysis: Highly skilled in conducting complex financial analyses related to AP.

  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to provide strategic guidance and lead high-impact initiatives.

  • Negotiation Skills: Expertise in high-level negotiations and conflict resolution.

  • Innovation: Ability to drive innovative solutions and process improvements.

  • Mentorship: Skills in training and mentoring associates at all levels.

  • Regulatory Expertise: Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.

  • High-Impact Reporting: Proficiency in preparing and presenting detailed strategic reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, or similar financial roles.

  • Proven experience as a team lead.

  • Proven experience in managing complex and high-risk AP portfolios.

  • Proficiency in SAP is a plus

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Strong understanding of advanced payment processing techniques and methodologies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approach.

  • Ability to handle high-level negotiations and discussions professionally.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Proficient in English.
