Accounts Payable Specialist, ADHC
Pay Details:
The starting hourly rate range for this position is $27.00 to $33.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.
The Accounts Payable Specialist serves as the primary support for all aspects of accounts payable. This position will be responsible for processing accounts payable invoices and expense reports for the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club and San Diego Gulls Hockey Club. This position requires someone who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment and can input 150-250 invoices/expense reports weekly. The Accounts Payable Specialist works independently as needed, and general accounting knowledge is a must.
Responsibilities
Process expense reports, including reviewing expense coding and approvals and verifying receipts, for corporate card transactions and employee out-of-pocket reimbursements
Set up and train new employees in the business expense submission process and log/distribute new corporate cards
Code and input invoices to correct GL accounts, departments, and product codes
Assist in the review and audit of invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals
Process weekly check runs and ACH, and obtain signatures for all accounts payable checks to ensure timely delivery
Adhere to and enforce accounting rules and guidelines and T&E policy
Prepare and input monthly journal entries, e.g., accruals, prepaid expense, amortization
Reconcile related Balance Sheet accounts (AP system, Prepaid, Clearing, Intercompany)
Research department questions and vendor statements; follow up with any discrepancies
Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and files
Assist with filing and reconciling Sales and Use Tax
Assist with preparing and reconciling 1099s
Assist in yearly audits
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on accounts payable experience
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience in General Ledger account reconciliation
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Education - Associates Degree
Experience Required – 2+ Years
