Job Description

O’Hagan Meyer is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team in our Downtown Los Angeles office. This position will support the Firm’s California offices and work closely with our centralized accounting team in Chicago, attorneys, staff, and vendors to ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter, code, and process vendor invoices for multiple office locations
• Serve as a primary accounting contact for the Firm’s California offices
• Prepare and process daily check runs and other vendor payments
• Reconcile vendor accounts and research and resolve discrepancies
• Review invoices for appropriate supporting documentation and approvals
• Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from vendors, attorneys, and firm personnel
• Assist with vendor account maintenance and other accounts payable functions
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
• Assist with special accounting projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

• At least two years of accounts payable or accounting experience
• Prior law firm or professional services experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with attorneys, staff, vendors, and members of the accounting team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion
• Dependable, proactive, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities

Pay Range: $60,000 – $80,000
