Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Accounts Payable manages the day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping them on track, on time and on good terms with our valued partners. He/She is responsible for processing invoices and issuing Payments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
  • Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording a ccounts payable data
  • Obtaining proper information and data regarding invoice payments.
  • Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, scheduling payments, and preparing checks or online payments.
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Review, verifies, and prepares Purchase Order
  • Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos.
  • Maintains historical records by microfilming and filing documents.
  • Disburses petty cash by recording entry and verifying documents.
  • Ensures proper taxes are withheld.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Perform other accounting tasks that maybe assigned from time to time.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payables principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant accounting software
  • Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
  • Strong time management and outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can work independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fields is a plus but not required.
  • Very good knowledge of labor legislation and tax regulations of the field.
  • Desired: 2+ years' experience in customer service and Data Entry role
  • Very good knowledge of labor legislation and tax regulations of the field.
  • Communications skills (English Proficiency) required / desired: Excellent (at least 8/10)
  • MS Office applications proficiency required / desired: Excellent (at least 9/10)

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years' customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Good client communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize with organizational and time management skills
  • With good attention to details
  • Strong computer skills in a Windows-based environment, with the ability to learn unique and proprietary software
  • Technical aptitude concerning Electrical Equipment a plus
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work on weekend shift
  • Able to comply with on-site requirements
