About the role

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance & Governance team based at Freshwater Place. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time while delivering excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

This is more than invoice processing. You'll be at the centre of critical business operations, helping improve processes, resolve supplier and stakeholder queries, support compliance requirements, and contribute to the efficient running of our accounts payable function.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Processing invoices and payments accurately and efficiently
  • Managing payment runs, including urgent, FX and month-end payments
  • Supporting stakeholders with purchase order and invoice queries
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Managing invoice exceptions and ensuring timely resolution
  • Assisting with audit requirements and compliance activities
  • Working closely with suppliers and internal teams to deliver outstanding service
  • Supporting continuous improvement across AP processes and systems including SAP and Ariba

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in delivering quality work and thrives in a collaborative environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong experience in Accounts Payable, invoice processing and payments
  • Experience working with SAP and/or Ariba
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills
  • Sound financial and analytical capability
  • Experience identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • A degree in Business or a related discipline (preferred)
