Job Description

We’re a fast-growing allied health business on a mission to connect people to healthier lives — and we’re looking for a detail-focused Accounts Payable Officer to take ownership of our AP function.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring supplier payments are accurate, timely, and well-managed across multiple entities. You’ll be the go-to for all things AP, playing a key role in keeping our finance operations running efficiently.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll take full ownership of the accounts payable function—managing high-volume processing, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and ensuring best practice processes are followed.

Why you’ll love this role:

  • Permanent, full-time role with flexible working options
  • Ownership of a critical finance function
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership (CFO and CEO)
  • Work in a collaborative, down-to-earth team
  • Opportunity to improve systems and processes

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing the end-to-end accounts payable function across five entities
  • Processing high-volume supplier invoices in Xero
  • Maintaining and reconciling supplier accounts, resolving discrepancies
  • Managing the accounts inbox and responding to queries promptly
  • Preparing and administering weekly payment runs
  • Managing credit card reconciliations and settlements
  • Processing employee expense reimbursements
  • Maintaining accurate vendor records
  • Reconciling bank accounts across multiple entities
  • Supporting month-end processes and reporting
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Strong experience with Xero (essential)
  • Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to manage high volumes and meet deadlines
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Confident communicator who builds strong working relationships
  • Accounting/Commerce qualification (advantageous, not essential)

Benefits and Perks

  • 5 extra paid leave days each year (Wellness Leave)
  • $1,000 professional development allowance plus 2 paid days for training
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Hybrid work with up to 2 days WFH weekly
  • Regular social club events and a fun, down-to-earth team vibe
  • $299 yearly active lifestyle subsidy to help you stay moving
  • EAP access and ongoing mentoring to support your wellbeing and growth
