The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Newcastle office. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in keeping our accounts running smoothly and efficiently.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Full-function Accounts Payable processing
  • Invoice entry, coding and approvals
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and handling queries
  • Monthly reporting and reconciliation tasks

About You

  • Minimum 2 years in a similar AP role
  • Solid experience with accounting software (SAGE preferred)
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong computer literacy
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude and a team mindset
  • Industry experience in Waste Management, transport, logistics, or construction (highly regarded)
