Job Description

The Accounts Payable Officer plays a crucial role in the financial services sector by ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Based in Morisset, New South Wales, this permanent full-time position is essential for maintaining the financial integrity of the organisation and supporting overall business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments.
  • Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders.
