Job Description

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team for a 4-month fixed term contract.

As an Accounts Payable Officer at Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Accounts Payable function, ensuring invoices are accurately processed, coded, approved and paid on time. you will work closely with suppliers, stores, the bakery and finance team to maintain accurate financial records and support strong cashflow and financial control across the business.

Responsibilities

• Manage day to day Accounts Payable process, including the accurate and timely processing of supplier, store, rent and other invoices.
• Ensure invoices are correctly coded, receipted, authorised and paid in line with supplier terms and agreed cashflow priorities.
• Maintain accurate and up to date supplier records and manage supplier enquiries and statement reconciliations.
• Process store rent and outgoings information, ensuring details are accurate and ready to recharge to franchisees.
• Assist with month end processes, including AP bank balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure financial information is accurate and up to date.
• Work closely with Finance, Retail, Bakery and Franchise teams to resolve queries and ensure transactions are processed correctly and on time.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a medium sized end to end Accounts Payable role.
• Experience working in a high-volume commercial environment.
• Experience in SAGE accounting systems is highly desirable.
• Strong reconciliation and reporting skills with good attention to detail.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong Time management and organisational skills.
