About the Role -

This is a fixed term 12 months parental leave cover starting from October 2026.

As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will be leading the Accounts Payable team in providing effective, accurate and efficient services throughout the end-to-end Accounts Payable function.

The core foundational expertise and skills you will bring to this role

You will be responsible for ensuring the end-to-end delivery of the Accounts Payable function, and be accountable for:

  • Leading the Accounts Payable team of 6 members in the delivery of day-to-day activities (plus 2 overseas)
  • Ensuring accounts are paid in a timely and accurate manner
  • Completion of payment runs
  • Ensuring all invoice and statement reconciliations are completed in accordance with agreed business processed
  • Providing superior and responsive customer service to Key Stakeholders
  • Preparation, review, and distribution of month end reporting and supporting the interpretation of these reports as necessary
  • Oversee and manage the identification, planning and implementation of process and system improvements
  • Leading the ongoing development of individual and team capability through development activities
  • Delivery of formal training initiatives in consultation with the People & Culture department

In addition, for part of this fixed term period Estia Health will be going through a Procurement to Pay transformation, implementing a new system to the Accounts Payable team – Coupa. During the project period you will be responsible for:

  • A small Accounts Payable officers portfolio to allow the scope to work as the Accounts Payable SME on the transformation project.
  • Managing Accounts Payable team involvement in User Acceptance Testing and system deployment.
  • Working with Suppliers to transition to Coupa e-invoicing

The traits that will help you succeed

  • Experience in an Accounts Payable Manager role in a high volume environment
  • Demonstrated functional leadership experience with facilitation and team building skills
  • Advanced English literacy and numeracy
  • Coupa experience is essential
  • Demonstrated experience in development, training and performance management of a team
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier management and major supplier reconciliations ( around 6000 invoices a month)
  • Working knowledge on systems Coupa, Epicor and DocStar experience highly regarded
