LGT Wealth Management was formed around a clear and uncompromising vision – to bring global best practice in building institutional quality investment portfolios to Australian clients.
With a shared passion for building an uncompromised business – we created something new from the ground up. A chance to leave behind the things that weren’t working, while enhancing the things that were. Our authentic and personalised client-first commitment. Our entrepreneurial spirit. Our focus in best-in-class advice. And our intimate understanding of the Australian private wealth landscape.
In 2022 we became a part of the LGT Group, who shared our entrepreneurial spirit, long-term approach and private-ownership model. Today, with the global expertise, stability, and capability of LGT behind us, we can work without being reliant on markets or margins, with a singular focus on giving our clients the advice and deep expertise they need for generations to come.
About the Opportunity
Join LGT Wealth Management — one of Australia’s leaders in private wealth advice and part of the world’s largest family owned wealth management group.
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to take full ownership of the Accounts Payable function and play a key role in modernising, automating and scaling how Accounts Payable operates across the business.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you’ll operate in a lean, senior capacity with genuine influence. The remit goes well beyond BAU — this role has a clear mandate to challenge existing ways of working, improve systems and controls, and design a fit‑for‑purpose AP function aligned to a modern finance organisation.
You’ll work closely with Finance, the broader business and senior stakeholders, acting as the face of Accounts Payable and the escalation point for complex or sensitive matters.
Your Responsibilities
Take end‑to‑end ownership of the Accounts Payable function, including invoices, payments (including FX), corporate credit cards and reimbursements
Provide functional oversight and prioritisation to an AP Officer / contractor, ensuring quality, timeliness and strong controls
Own the AP inbox and manage escalations, aged creditors and high‑risk or sensitive items
Manage bank balances and payment readiness ahead of payment runs
Drive continuous improvement across AP processes, with a strong focus on automation, scalability and controls
Lead optimisation and maintenance of SAP Concur, including backend configuration and workflow improvements
Improve supplier invoice workflows, reducing manual handling and rework
Develop AP insights and reporting to identify trends, bottlenecks and control risks
Ensure accurate GL postings, reconciliations and AP components of month‑end and year‑end close
Support audits, maintaining strong documentation and internal controls
Contribute to broader finance transformation and automation initiatives
About You
You’re someone who genuinely enjoys owning a function and improving how things work.
You will bring:
Extensive end‑to‑end Accounts Payable experience, with demonstrated ownership of a full AP function
Proven experience transforming or improving AP processes, systems or controls
Strong SAP Concur experience, ideally including maintenance, optimisation or backend configuration
Experience working within month‑end close and audit environments
Strong Excel and data capability, with confidence working with large or complex datasets
The ability to balance hands‑on involvement with strategic improvement work
Confidence engaging with Finance leaders and business stakeholders to resolve issues and drive change
This role is best suited to someone comfortable working in a lean environment — not managing a large transactional team — and who enjoys autonomy, accountability and visibility.
Why You’ll Love This Role
Transformation focus – You’re encouraged to challenge, redesign and automate, not just maintain
Autonomy and trust – Strong support from Finance leadership with real appetite for change
Values‑driven organisation – Part of a global wealth management group with a long‑term perspective
