Job Description

The Accounts Payable Associate is a detail-oriented role responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and supporting day-to-day financial operations. This position works closely with the Accounts Payable Manager and the AP team to ensure accurate and timely payments in compliance with company policies. The role operates in a hybrid capacity out of our Addison, Tx office and plays an essential part in maintaining positive vendor relationships and supporting Cavender’s financial integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Support the “Cavender’s Culture” and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values

· Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

· Match invoices to purchase orders and verify coding and approvals.

· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

· Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.

· Maintain accurate records and documentation of all accounts payable transactions.

· Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and issues.

· Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing reports and reconciling accounts payable records.

· Monitor aging reports to ensure timely payment of invoices and avoid late fees.

· Support audits by providing documentation and responding to information requests.

· Assist in maintaining vendor master data, including setting up new vendors and updating existing records.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

· High school degree or equivalent

· Strong analytical thinking and research capabilities

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Suite

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

· Ability to interpret documents

· Ability to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond

· Ability to comprehend complex issues and communicate

Preferred Skills

· 1-2 years of relevant experience.

· Familiarity with accounting software and systems.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
