About the team

The Accounts Payable (AP) team is responsible for accurately tracking vendor balances and processing approved payments. Our scope includes managing supplier tax information, processing Travel & Expense (T&E) reimbursements, handling vendor invoices, and managing petty cash within our ERP system.

Our mission is to ensure timely vendor payments, maintain accurate financial data, and nurture positive relationships with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders. About the position

This role is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic corporate environment. As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will handle the administrative and operational activities of the AP team, with a strong focus on Travel & Expenses (T&E) management and vendor relations.

  • Type of Contract: Independent Contractor
  • Contract Duration: 1-year contract.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time (8 hours per day, Monday to Friday).
  • Location & Modality: Montevideo, Uruguay. Hybrid (3 days onsite at our Zonamerica office, 2 days home office).

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Expense Report Management: Review, audit, and process employee expense reports in the system, ensuring compliance with company policies before sending them for leadership approval.
  • Local Vendor Tracking Load and control specific local invoices, including Zonamerica restaurant accounts, corporate hotels, and travel agencies.
  • Reimbursements Assist in preparing and coordinating timely T&E reimbursements for employees.
  • Data Entry & ERP Ownership: Accurately enter invoice data into the ERP system, maintain organized digital records, and ensure data integrity.
  • Team Collaboration Support the AP team with month-end closing tasks, petty cash tracking, and ad-hoc accounting or audit requests as needed.

About you

Education & Experience:

  • Current university student or recent graduate in Economic Sciences (Business Administration, Accountancy, Economics, or related fields).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in similar administrative or accounting roles is highly desirable

Skills & Competencies

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proactive attitude, ownership of tasks, and strong time management skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal employees and local vendors.
  • Fast learner, adaptable, and comfortable working with systems.
  • Advanced or Intermediate-Advanced English level (written and spoken) is highly valued.
