Spire Healthcare are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Accounts Payable Administrator to join the team at their Reading location.
The Transactional Services department is responsible for providing an effective, efficient and accurate invoice processing and payment service to Suppliers and Consultants and support to Hospitals.
Working Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, generally office hours. this can be worked Hybrid – 2 days homeworking one week 3 days the following week unless preferred to be in the office 5 days a week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure purchase Invoices/Credits are processed efficiently and accurately onto SAP within the agreed timescales and deadlines.
- Handle and resolve emails and phone calls efficiently and effectively to a satisfactory outcome within a reasonable timescale.
- Ensure queries are logged and scanned onto the presence system in order to alert the Hospital/NDC of a
- Ensure queries are claimed to relevant departments within our SAP query management system.
- Resolve all AP Queries within the agreed timescale to avoid payment issues.
- Provide payment information to Suppliers/Hospital
- Produce assigned suppliers statement reconciliations within the agreed deadlines. Maintain assigned ledgers regularly, resolve any reconciling items and apply amendments onto SAP. Build good relationship with your assigned suppliers work with hospitals/buyers to resolve outstanding queries so to avoid a hold status being applied.
- Support and comply with all of the department processes and procedures, making suggestions for improvements to the Transactional Services Supervisor/Manager
- Build strong relationships with hospitals and other departments within HSC communicating messages effectively at all times.
Who we're looking for:
Essential
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent including English and Mathematics.
- PC literate with accurate keyboard skills and of a reasonable speed.
- Some working knowledge of Windows applications Excel and Word.
- Experience of supporting and developing a team to foster a high performance
- culture
- Experience of organising your workload so a variety of tasks are completed within
- agreed timescales.
- Experience of working independently and on own initiative.
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel with Vlookup formulas
- Excellent time management, task priotisation and strong organisational skills are
- essential to handle workflow to manage a variety of tasks and deadlines in a fast
- paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across
- multiple sites, much of which will be non– face to face communication.
- Maintaining a positive and flexible approach to tasks in the face of changing
- priorities
- Ability to work on own initiative resolving daily problems as they occur
- Desirable
- Dealing with high volume and complex ledgers to a satisfactory outcome.
- Experience in dealing with complex queries to a satisfactory outcome.
