Accounts Payable Accountant

• Finance Operations within Global Business Services delivers standardized, high-quality finance and master data services, acting as a trusted partner in supporting business performance and ongoing transformation.
• As Finance Operations, we deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financial and master data services across end‑to‑end processes, ensuring adherence to internal policies and accounting standards
• Execute core operational activities to support high‑quality service delivery, including period‑end closing, audit, and reporting requirements where applicable
• Drive standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvement, actively supporting the overall transformation of Danish Crown while collaborating effectively in an international environment with strong ownership and accountability

Area of responsibility:

• The Accounts Payable Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense transactions. This role requires a solid understanding of accounts payable processes, vendor management, and internal controls. The position operates with moderate independence and supports process improvements while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial standards.
• Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting or related fields or High school of economics (Technikum o profilu ekonomicznym)
• Knowledge of SAP
• Good English both spoken and written
• Knowledge of MS Office

Specific tasks:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and within defined SLAs
• Support with payment run reviews
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Manage vendor queries and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain and improve internal controls and compliance with audit requirements
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and automation efforts
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other stakeholders
• Provide training and support for other team members
• Identifies possible challenges and opportunities in the process and addresses with relevant parties
• Possible travel for process transition

Relevant experience:

• >4 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting in Accounts Payable area

Specific requirements:

• Effective communication in English (written and verbal)
• Experience in AP process transitions
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Knowledge of SAP or M3 ERP systems
• Continuous improvement mindset
