Functional Pathways is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our corporate finance team in Knoxville, TN. This is an onsite position and plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and financial records in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter invoices and check requests according to established vendor terms
- Verify proper coding, approvals, and ensure timely payment of all invoices
- Verify, enter, and reconcile contract labor timesheets and invoices
- Process weekly check runs in an organized and timely manner
- Maintain 1099 information and process year-end 1099 forms for vendors
- Respond promptly to vendor inquiries
- Reconcile vendor statements and research/correct discrepancies
- Assist with monthly General Ledger maintenance and assigned financial reporting
- Maintain accurate files and documentation in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
- Manage fixed asset transfers, placements, and write-offs
- Maintain and update various Excel spreadsheets
- Assist with additional accounting projects as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications
- Accounting degree with 2+ years of accounting experience preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Professional, reliable, and self-motivated
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Intacct experience is a plus
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong problem-solving, research, and data analysis skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
