Job Category: AccountingPOSITION SUMMARY: Compiles and processes accounting transactions for Birkey's. Act as a liaison between corporate and outlying locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Prepare, post, audit and manage accounts payable transactions, including scanned A/P from locations.
- Print, match and distribute accounts payable checks timely.
- Provide assistance to the bookkeepers/office managers as it relates to A/P functions.
- Review vendor statements scanned to A/P from bookkeepers.
- Answer all vendor inquiries.
- Prepare certain in house invoices and others as needed.
- Maintain paid and open A/P invoices and provide backup in preparing daily check run.
- Reconcile petty cash box for reimbursement.
- Distribute Shuttle Mail at Administration Office.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety program at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/

Experience: Individual should have a high school diploma or its equivalent.  Should be able to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision and be able to understand and carryout oral and written directions.
The individual should have 1 2 years of experience, a steady work record, and must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.
