We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Officer (Receivables & Payables) to join our Finance team and deliver high-quality, end-to-end transactional finance support across both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

The Role

Reporting to the Accounting Operations Manager, this role plays a key part in maintaining the financial integrity of the business through accurate, timely and compliant processing of customer and supplier transactions. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers in a shared services environment, with responsibilities flexed across AR and AP based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable:

  • Raise and process customer invoices in line with approved documentation and procedures

  • Apply and reconcile customer receipts (EFT, credit card, direct debit, etc.)

  • Monitor aged receivables and follow up outstanding balances

  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, queries and unapplied cash

  • Maintain accurate customer account records and reconciliations

  • Support AR month-end close activities

Accounts Payable:

  • Process supplier invoices and employee expense claims accurately and on time

  • Review invoices for correct coding, approvals and policy compliance

  • Support payment runs in line with agreed payment terms

  • Resolve invoice discrepancies, duplicate payments and supplier queries

  • Maintain supplier master data and data integrity

  • Perform AP reconciliations and support month-end close

Governance, Stakeholder Engagement & Improvement:

  • Ensure all AR/AP activities comply with internal controls, policies and accounting standards

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support audits as required

  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Identify process improvement opportunities, contributing to efficiency and automation initiatives

About You

You’re a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, reliable outcomes.

You will bring

  • 2–5 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or a combined transactional finance role

  • Experience in a shared services or high-volume environment (preferred)

  • Strong understanding of AR and AP processes and financial controls

  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial processing tools

  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and problem-solving skills

  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused mindset
