Company Background:

We are representing our client a Chinese multinational state-owner heavy machinery manufacturing and dealer company with headquarters in China. Currently they are looking for an Accounts Executive/Senior Executive/Accountant to be based at Papua New Guinea.

• 5.5 working days (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, Sat 8am-12pm)

Responsibilities:

Reporting to: General Manager

No. of Subordinates: 4

• Assist Accounts Manager in the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and inventory.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, processes, and procedures.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Recommend and implement improvements to finance processes and internal controls.
• Assist with proper documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date statements of account (SOA).
• Complete monthly reconciliations of bank statements, debtors, creditors, and inter-company balances.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and cash management activities.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar accounting role handling full sets of accounts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to speak BOTH English & Mandarin due to report to China HQ
• Ability to work under pressure
