How you will make an impact:

As an Accounts Executive at Crane Currency Malta, you will support the accurate and timely execution of our accounting and financial reporting processes. You will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, completing financial close activities, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting statutory compliance, audits, and accounts payable and receivable operations. Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider Finance team, you will help ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, SOX requirements, and applicable accounting standards. Your contribution will also support forecasting, cash management, process improvement initiatives, and the continued development of a high-performing Finance function.

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining an accurate and complete General Ledger structure.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, ensuring timely resolution of differences and accurate reporting.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation and responding to auditor requests.
• Support compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations including VAT, income tax, NSO reporting, Malta Enterprise requirements and banking covenants.
• Assist with cash management activities including bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

• In possession of, or currently pursuing, an ACCA qualification, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, finance, or financial reporting roles.
• Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Fundamental understanding of IFRS, internal controls and accounting principles.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred:

• Experience within a manufacturing or multinational environment.
• Familiarity with SOX-controlled environments.
• Experience supporting audits, budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with financial systems implementations or optimization initiatives.

The salary range for this role is €35,000 - €40,000 annually. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
