Accounts Executive:
We are looking for a results-driven Accounts Executive to drive new business growth and manage strategic client relationships within the freight and supply chain sector. Reporting to the Divisional Director, this role blends sales, account management, and commercial strategy that must have logistics knowledge and experience
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Proactively source, cold call, and secure new clients, with a focus on local and cross-border freight solutions.
- Account Management: Maintain and grow existing accounts through strong relationship management, service excellence, and upselling opportunities.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop client-specific sales strategies, prepare tenders and pricing, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Client Solutions: Understand customer needs and provide tailored logistics solutions, quotations, and technical support.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the client interface, ensuring seamless communication between customers and internal teams (operations, finance, engineering).
- Performance & Reporting: Manage KPIs, track visits, report on performance, and ensure SLA compliance.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitors and market trends to maintain a competitive edge and identify growth opportunities.
- Operational Oversight: Support invoicing, payment tracking, and resolve service issues, driving continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to regulatory, OHS, and company standards.
Key Requirements
- Tertiary qualification
- 3–5 years' experience in Key Account Management (preferably in logistics/supply chain)
- Proven ability to win new business and manage multiple accounts
- Strong negotiation, tendering, and commercial acumen
- Experience managing staff and cross-functional stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office, reporting, and data analysis
- Valid driver's licence
