About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Trust Accounts Clerk to join our national Trust Accounting team, with a focus on managing the daily trust operations for our Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide Trust accounts. Due to this focus, we are open to Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth based candidates.

This is a rewarding and autonomous role where you’ll provide day-to-day support to the business, working closely with a collaborative Finance team and liaising with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure trust processes run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily bank reconciliation of the firm’s Trust bank accounts, processing of Trust receipts, payments and PEXA settlements
• Daily reconciliation of client settlement funds received
• Process Trust journals and Trust to Office payments as required
• Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and end-of-month reports
• Ensure Trust record keeping complies with all relevant jurisdiction regulations
• Attend to trust queries from internal and external stakeholders, and provide Trust Reciepts and Statements
• Assist the annual audit with external auditors in relation to Trust operations
• Process Landgate and SAILIS payments as required
• Provide back-up support for the Sydney Accounts Clerk

About You

• 1-3 years’ experience working in a Finance team in professional services
• Familiarity with a legal practice management system such as Elite 3E
• Competent Excel and Word skills
• Knowledge and experience working within in-house finance teams at a transactional level
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong numeracy skills, and the ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks
