Accounts Assistant (1 year contract)

(Based at Activewear - Nawala)

The Activewear Value Stream delivers high-performance sportswear and athleisure solutions designed for technical functionality, durability and everyday versatility— serving sports, lifestyle and performance segments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Governance Leadership team in driving governance initiatives across the Activewear business.
• Ensure that operational processes and functions comply with MAS governance standards and policies.
• Assist in establishing, monitoring, and improving internal control systems to ensure effective and efficient business operations.
• Provide guidance and support to manufacturing plants and functional teams to ensure compliance with brand protection and governance standards.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of MAS Brand Protection requirements across all relevant functions.
• Assist in conducting biannual MAS CSA Audits for the Activewear Value Stream.
• Identify control gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, and follow up on action plans to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to promote a strong governance and compliance culture within the organization.
• Maintain proper documentation of governance processes, audit findings, and compliance reports.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance governance practices and operational efficiency.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Degree in Finance or Accounting or full or part qualification in CIMA / CA.
• Prior experience in Internal Audit, Governance, Risk, or Compliance roles will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to manufacturing or apparel industry environments is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.
