Job Description

Job Title:Accounts & Insurance Team Manager
Location:Based at the Dudley Hospital, travel across all 5 sites required.
Reporting to:Practice Director

Job type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week over 4 or 5 days)
Salary:£31,500 DOE

Role and responsibilities:
This role will primarily be focused on managing practice and client debt. However, a solid understanding of budget planning, data analysis and implementation of central projects is essential.

The successful candidate will be both approachable and driven, with outstanding communication skills across all functions and with the ability to remain empathetic during highly emotional conversations.
You will be able to self-motivate to hit targets and deadlines with a proven record of collaborating with senior leadership teams (SLT) to set and deliver business strategies and financial targets.

You will be supported in practice by our Practice Director and fellow members of the SLT, as well as having access to support from the wider Linnaeus operational team.

Responsibilities to also include, but not limited to:

  • To deliver KPI’s, as set by the practice, on debt management and client experience.
  • Proactively maintain and reduce 30,60 and 90-day debt and analyse and identify the root cause of debt.
  • To positively inspire, lead, motivate, and develop the insurance and accounts team to achieve outstanding results, supporting the key strategic objectives of the business.
  • To continually strive to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and output of the Claims Recovery and Debt Management functions of the Practice whilst adhering to company protocols.
  • To enthuse and engage Vet, Nursing, Reception and Practice Support teams in Claim Recovery and Debt Management to raise awareness of the direct link between great clinical care, client experience and good financial management
  • Demonstrates emotional maturity to communicate with clients regarding potentially emotive situations
  • Working within the culture ethos and philosophy of Blacks Vets. Maintain excellent client relationships and a good debt management experience for clients and associates.

Experience Required:
Essential

  • Previous experience in insurance claims, account payment processing, and debt recovery.
  • Strong administration background.
  • Minimum one year of Team Leader experience.
  • Proven ability to produce accurate and timely reports and follow audit processes.
  • IT skills and knowledge of MS Office software packages: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Experience within the veterinary industry
  • Knowledge of pet insurance
