To support this mission, Syngenta’s Finance Business Partnering team is seeking a Accounting to Reporting Senior Analyst (fixed term contract for 12 months) in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all business transactions in ERP system according to the IFRS rules for group reporting and local GAAP rules for statutory reporting.
  • Review relevant balance sheet reconciliations in line with corporate IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements.
  • Provide accurate, timely and proper substantiation of financial balances if required in line with Compliance requirements and IFRS.
  • Collaborate with other areas to ensure data quality and output are reliable.
  • Collaborate with Business Finance organization to verify the correctness of the accounts and provide appropriate substantiation to approve relevant accounts.
  • Contribute to a high level of financial compliance.
  • Collaborate with all Finance areas to ensure reliable Financial Statements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate or advanced student (Accounting/Economics).
  • 2 or more years of experience in accounting or similar positions.
  • Intermediate level of English (Mandatory).
  • Data accuracy and service mindset.
  • Analytic skill, dynamic, team working, organized and attentive to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS.
  • Ability to work under pressure while keeping high quality of output.
  • Process improvement and efficiency mentality.

Desired

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is preferred).
