GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this job is accounts payable and receivable, maintenance and control of general ledger and accounts, and report preparation for one or more complex budget codes in a large accounting office. Employee may perform a variety of accounting and reimbursement activities, including encumbering of purchases, auditing of invoices, reconciliation of line items, and inventory control. Responsibilities vary dependent upon the area assigned. This position works under close to general supervision according to set procedures but exercises independent judgement to ensure that transactions are in accordance with correct accounting and budget procedures and statutory requirements.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized coursework in bookkeeping or accounting and two (2) years of experience in accounting or booking work; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
