Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Acadiana who have behavioral health and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities.

We are looking for an Accounting Technician to join our team at our Crowley Behavioral Health Clinic location to provide fiscal/accounting and administrative support services for the agency. You will work in a variety of systems and software including an Electronic Health Record (EHR) System.

Examples of duties

Three years of experience or training in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or financial operations or computations.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Job Duties:

Your role as an Accounting Technician will include:

  • Generating monthly bills; posting payments on client accounts; reviewing client’s finances and researching Medicaid, Medicare and insurance eligibility; analyzing receivables and other information along with reconciling bank statements.

  • You will also prepare and process travel forms, property control and additional administrative and clerical support for the agency.

Location: This position is located in the Acadiana Area Human Services District – Crowley Behavioral Health Clinic in Crowley, LA

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 40 hours/week

Appointment Type: Probational and Promotional
