Context & Environment

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Accounting and Tax Manager, based in Athens. The position organizes and supervises the accounting & tax operations, closings, declarations with a team of accountants and tax officer.

Activities

• Control and validate day-to-day accounting and closing operations
• Execute accounting operations
• Orchestrate and control the processes in relation to monthly balances and yearly closing to produce the RES1 reporting respecting the deadlines and accounting procedures
• Contribute to the preparation of Financial Statements
• Assist in tax audits from Tax Authorities
• Control tax statements and tax payments
• Collect and control the commercial contracts
• Calculate and provide G/L entries to TGSB
• Participate in Transfer Pricing file and intercompany transactions
• Cooperate and interact with internal & external stakeholders
• Accountable for the diffusion and the application of rules and policies within his/her perimeter including TTE safety, compliance, and financial management rules
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the accounting team
• Accountable to put in place and to improve the major processes of his/her team, his/her governance and reporting
• Coordinate the actions, workload of his/her direct reports and evaluate them according to their objectives
• Put in place the necessary means to professionalize his/her subordinates
• Coordinate and interact with advisors regarding ERP System

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor/Master in Accounting or Finance
• Proven track record of 7-10 years
• At least 3 years in a managerial role
• Perfect knowledge of accounting norms and tax regulations
• Valid Class A Accountant License (Greece)
• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
• Integrity & accountability
• Efficient and autonomous
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data preparation, entry and management
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills and interaction with other departments/colleagues
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment and work under pressure
• Proficiency in English and ERP systems
• Greek Language as prerequisite
