The Accounting Supervisor for Financial Planning and Analysis performs advanced-level professional accounting work and supervises the work and personnel of one or more major areas of accounting. As a fundamental skill set, this position requires expertise with Excel, data analysis, importing and exporting multiple datasets, understanding data table connectivity, table structure, how to analyze using other Excel functions, pivot tables, and possibly multiple IF statements, H/VLOOPKUPs, complex sorts, and filters. Develops work schedules and plans, then assigns tasks to employees, prioritizing and overseeing their completion to ensure that deadlines and goals are met.

Expertise in Excel, analyzing data amongst other excel functions is a must.
Thorough knowledge of accounting theory, practices, and procedures as related to a variety of of financial transactions.
Ability to apply accounting theory and principles to a wide variety of transactions.
Ability to prepare and present standard financial reports.
Ability to prioritize, plan, and coordinate tasks.
Ability to supervise the activities of Accountants I and II
Ability to establish work standards and procedures.
Ability to analyze accounting records and reports in accordance with the generally accepted principles of accounting, as well as with pertinent rules and regulations.
Ability to prepare complex accounting and financial reports
