As an Accounting Supervisor, you will support the accounting functions of Busch Gardens Tampa and Adventure Island by performing various daily functions to ensure accurate financial results are being generated and overall SeaWorld Entertainment corporate policies are being followed.
What you get to do:
• Act as the Accounts Payable liaison for Busch Gardens and Adventure Island by performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to
Researching vendor payment issues
• Contacting vendors for missing invoices
• Researching purchase orders that are blocked for payment due to receiving issues, pricing, etc.
• Maintain capital project files, assist with creating new projects, and review the asset listing to identify items being disposed of
• Maintain a listing of all park licensing, fees, and other annual renewals to ensure timely filing and payments are made.
• Maintain the storage and filing of all daily paperwork related to general accounting processes
• Supervise Adventure Island’s Communications Specialist team functions of facilitating the Park’s voice communications (radio, telephone), weather monitoring, and the completion & maintenance of various logs including ambassador call-ins, ride status, alarm, first aid, weather, minors and aquatic rescue responses.
• Perform base operator functions as necessary to ensure proper coverage of communication and weather systems
• Additional projects and tasks as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred in Accounting, finance, or related business discipline
• Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP knowledge preferred
• Ability to quickly master proprietary systems applications software and report writers
• Ability to effectively perform in a multitask oriented environment to meet specific deadlines
• Effective written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office tools and functionality; intermediate skill level in Excel required
