YOUR ROLE

As part of the Finance Department of CMA CGM Senegal, you will report to the Finance Manager. You will be responsible for all accounting operations and will conduct regular monitoring and controls.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Treasury Operations – BA

• Review and record accounting transactions.
• Receive cash vouchers, record daily income and expense transactions, and ensure proper filing.
• Deposit cheques for collection.
• Prepare supporting documents for supplier payments (cash, cheque and bank transfer).
• Monitor and clear outstanding items identified during bank reconciliations.
• Monitor the daily cash position and prepare cash funding requests.

Tax and Social Security Declarations

• Prepare tax and social security declarations for submission to the relevant authorities via dedicated online platforms.
• Submit the related transactions for processing, recording and filing, including:

Agency TVA; Shipping Line TVA; Government stamp duties; CEL-VL; CEL-VA; VRS; BRS; BNC.

• Prepare IPRES pension contribution declarations.
• Prepare Social Security Fund contribution declarations.
• Prepare IPM and insurance contribution declarations.
• Prepare quarterly and annual tax returns.
• Prepare for and participate in the annual audit.

Monthly Closing Activities

• Review and validate depreciation, prepaid expense and provision schedules.
• Review the monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) file.
• Prepare the monthly tax report.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Preferably holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• At least three years of experience in the finance field.
• Comfortable working in both French and English, spoken and written.
• Proficient in IT and standard office software.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness, given the interactions with various departments and external stakeholders.
