Caribbean HR Solutions is the Caribbean's premier HR Outsourcing company specializing in Executive Search, Recruiting, HRO, and Payroll services. On behalf of our client, we solicit candidates to apply for the role of Accounting Specialist.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting the accounting department with a primary focus on the accounts receivable process, while also assisting with general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, is task driven, and is self-motivated to stay on top of a fluctuating volume of requests.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:

• Review and release manual orders in a timely manner to ensure uninterrupted order flow
• Process and maintain accurate tax exemption certificates across customer accounts
• Manage and process credit memos for the EAS and CLT teams, ensuring proper approvals and documentation
• Monitor and resolve issues from the invalid orders board, coordinating with internal departments as needed
• Support month-end close activities related to revenue, receivables, and AR aging
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve billing accuracy

Accounting Support:

• Assist in other aspects of the accounting department as needed, including billing support
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation as needed
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Participate in process improvements and automation initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum of Associate’s degree in Accounting or 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Must reside in Jamaica
• Though the role is Work From Home there is a 40 hour/week requirement.
