Accounting Specialist

We are expanding our Finance, Accounting and Controlling team across Istanbul and looking for an Accounting Specialist to join us in Istanbul with Division Aftermarket.

About the team and role:

Our Accounting team ensures transparent, accurate, and compliant financial reporting while driving strong performance management across the organization. We manage monthly financial closings under both local GAAP and IFRS, conduct daily transaction reviews, and maintain a robust Internal Control System by identifying risks and strengthening control processes.

What you can look forward to as an Accounting Specialist:

• Utilize SAP effectively across Finance (FI), Materials Management (MM), and Sales & Distribution (SD) modules to support daily accounting operations and resolve transactional issues
• Perform daily accounting operations, including bank transactions, supplier and customer accounting, invoice and payment postings, import documents, cheques, and related accounting activities
• Review and control accounting entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, timely posting, and compliance with local GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Perform and support month-end and year-end closing activities, including general ledger reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations, and resolution of accounting discrepancies
• Prepare and review tax declarations and statutory reports while ensuring compliance with local tax legislation and reporting requirements
• Manage fixed asset accounting processes, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and related reporting activities
• Prepare cost analyses, profitability analyses, financial reports, and data-driven insights using SAP and advanced Excel tools to support management decision-making
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, support audits, and contribute to the continuous improvement, standardization, and digitalization of accounting processes

Your Profile as an Accounting Specialist:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within an international manufacturing environment
• Strong hands-on SAP ERP experience, with the ability to work confidently in FI, MM, and SD modules
• Solid knowledge of general accounting, local GAAP, tax legislation, statutory reporting, and fixed asset accounting
• Experience in month-end and year-end closing activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform cost, profitability, and financial performance analyses
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze financial data and identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Good written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines
