What You’ll Do
- Manage the full accounts payable process, ensuring all transactions are properly documented, coded, and approved in accordance with organizational policies.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors and internal staff, responding to billing and payment inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Process cash receipts and checks, prepare deposits, and accurately record transactions in the accounting system.
- Support the PCard program by assisting cardholders, reviewing transactions for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Provide grant administration support, including processing reimbursements, tracking grant budgets, preparing financial reports, and monitoring program-related financial activity.
- Post bi-weekly payroll entries in the accounting system and maintain accurate payroll-related records.
- Perform monthly balance sheet and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Support budget management by tracking expenses and assisting with budget-to-actual reporting and analysis.
- Maintain and support strong internal controls and assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze data, create formulas, and develop spreadsheets that support financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes and strengthen financial operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Compensation & Schedule
- Salaried/Exempt
- Annual Range $56,385 - $66,225
- Full Time; Monday – Friday; Occasional evenings and weekends as needed

QualificationsWho You Are

Required Qualifications:
- Education or Experience Minimum:
- - Bachelor’s degree in accounting and 1 year of experience in accounting; or
- - Associate’s degree in accounting and 2 years of experience in accounting; or
- - 5 years work experience in accounting with General Ledger accounting experience
- Desire and willingness to learn about Atlas’s history and philosophy and to uphold and promote the mission and values of the school
- Competency in Microsoft Excel and financial accounting software systems
- Superior time management and the ability to meet deadlines
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team
- Strong written and oral communication skills

Qualifications:
- K-12 Public Charter School experience
- Familiarity with Colorado Department of Education financial reporting requirements and formats
Essential Job Functions
- Ability to sit and stand (conducive to an office environment) for extended periods of time.
