Job Category: AdministrationTTAI has an opening for one Accounting Specialist in the Accounting Department. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager. The Accounting Specialist position requires strong analytical, problem-solving and time management skills. This position is ideal for a motivated self-starter capable of applying conceptual frameworks to real world situations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support closing process through the preparation of journal entries, calculation of accruals and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Maintain project cost tracking program relying on company policy and US GAAP to determine proper classification of capital and general expenses.
- Serve as primary point of contact for policy questions and explanations related to capital asset accounting.
- Prepare capital asset additions, sales, retirements and transfers ensuring all transactions are recorded properly according to company capitalization standards and US GAAP.
- Create and present budget vs actual analysis for capital projects to management.
- Support Cost Reduction program(s) by identifying budgetary impact of cost reduction activities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field from an accredited school
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of GAAP and best-in-class asset-related accounting practices
- Ability to work efficiently and productively in a multi-task deadline-oriented environment independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational, analytical, research and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills.  Ability to explain complex accounting ideas and principles to accounting and non-accounting professionals.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and maintains high quality of work.
